Decathlon climbing harness review reddit I'm new to climbing and I was looking for some entry level climbing gear. My favourite thing about decathlon is that they mark each product with the intended level of use. They've got dirt cheap stuff that's labelled as for beginners, and more expensive stuff that is labelled as intermediate & advanced, so you have a bit more information about what you're buying. Has anyone tried this brand before?, How is the quality?. Decathlon has constantly exceeded my expectations and I have zero shame or self consciousness buying from them. Also, all the hard gear (carabiners, ice axes, crampons) are made by the original Simond factory in Chamonix, they've been around since 1860! My partner and I both LOVE this harness. Even the cheap stuff doesn't wear out as fast as I'd expect for the price - and anything I get tends to be worn or used pretty frequently. It is super comfortable on the back and the gear loops are rectangular. Highly recommended. Came across SIMOND brand from Decathlon, shoes and harness are very cheap and look legit. Edelrid autana. They are ok and definitely better than the rental shoes at my gym. Looking to buy Climbing shoes and harness, getting ready for the gym reopening. It is a sport climbing harness, one of the lightest ones too but man does it hold its own on alpine terrain as well. While I was passing by a decathlon store I saw that they had some climbing equipment made by simond and couldn't find any reviews online. I have climbed with some 40€ climbing shoes from Decathlon for a year and it was fine. I believe the ropes are made by the French brand "Cousin" but then sold as Simond by Decathlon. All the Simond gear is good. pqt eexx dhey tcmtcq plw avitgy wsuyf erg ktm ttnwqjuw
